Keep America Great—With A Career in Agriculture!
According to the USDA, (https://nifa.usda.gov/education) “to feed the growing global population—expected to reach 9.6 billion by 2050— the Food and Agricultural Organization projects that agricultural production (food, feed and fiber) will need to increase by 70 percent. If these predictions are accurate, humankind’s greatest challenge may be educating the needed labor to replace the aging American farmer and the skilled workers and scientists needed to support the sustainable growth in agricultural production.”
It is our goal to support the USDA by developing and offering education, training, outreach and mentoring programs to enhance the sustainability of the next generation of farmers. We are working to strengthen the educational aspect of the farm museum and greatly improve our ability to serve the public with a complete educational museum. The museum expansion, with interactive educational exhibits, agriculture library and various displays for visitors of all ages, will cover the history of agriculture, today’s farming practices and the future of farming, as well as highlighting and promoting farming as an intellectually stimulating and economically sustainable career.
If your organization has information they would like to add to the museum or our website please contact Cindy Brenneke at 314-241-3488.
